Family Visas
Australian citizens and permanent residents may be able to sponsor their family members to live in Australia.

Child Visa – A child/child of an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident can be sponsored and apply for temporary or permanent residency to live in Australia. We can assess which options are best for you and assist in the application process.
• Child Visa – Subclass 101/ 802
It is a permanent visa subclass. To apply for this visa subclass, the child must be a dependent child of a parent who is an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or an eligible New Zealand Citizen.
The eligible child must be below 18 or if above 25 must be financially dependent on the parent.
The subclass 101 is an offshore visa which can be lodged outside of Australia, and the subclass 802 is an onshore visa which can be lodged while in Australia.
• Dependent Child Visa – subclass 445It is a temporary visa subclass. To apply for this visa subclass, the child must be sponsored by the person who was the sponsor of the other parent for the partner visa application. The child on 445 can apply for a permanent visa with the parent’s partner visa application.
• Adoption Visa – Subclass 102It is a permanent visa subclass which lets the children adopted outside Australia to be sponsored by the adoptive parent. The child must be under 18 years of age and be outside of Australia to apply for this visa subclass.
Parent Visa – Parents of Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents can be sponsored and apply for temporary or permanent residency to live in Australia. The applicant can also be sponsored by the spouse or de facto partner who is an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Work Visa
For employer-sponsored visas, applicants need an employer from Australia to sponsor and nominate. Depending upon eligibility, applicants can be sponsored. The nominated occupation must be listed on the eligible skilled occupation list.
Subclass 482 – TSS (Temporary Skill Shortage visa – Temporary Residence for a period of 2-4 years)
This is a temporary visa subclass for the applicant to work with the nominating employer for a period of two to four years. The nominated occupation must be listed on either the Medium/Long-term Strategic List or Short-term Skilled Shortage list. To be eligible, applicants must have two years of full-time experience in the nominated occupation. A relevant skills assessment will be required for certain occupations. The applicant must meet the English language requirement unless exempted. The sponsoring employer must be a standard business sponsor or an Overseas Business Sponsor to sponsor an applicant under TSS visa.
Subclass 186 – ENS (Employer Nominated visa – Permanent Residence)Sc186 is a permanent visa subclass nominated by the employer to live and work permanently in Australia.
This visa has three different streams
- Direct Entry Stream
- Labour Agreement Stream
- Temporary Residence Transition Stream
Each stream has its eligibility requirements.
Subclass 494 – Skilled Employer-Sponsored Regional Visa – (Provisional)
This is a provisional visa subclass, approved for a period of five years. The applicant must be sponsored by a regional employer, who is a standard business sponsor. To apply for this visa subclass, the applicant must have three years of full-time experience and a positive skill assessment.
This visa has two different streams
- Employer-Sponsored Stream
- Labour Agreement Stream
Holders of subclass 494 can apply for Permanent Residency subclass 191 if they have been working for at least 3 years in the nominated occupation. with annual earnings of at least $53,900.
Subclass 407 – Trainee Visa – This is a Short-term visa for applicants who need to undergo occupational training or professional Development in Australia. The applicant requires sponsorship from an employer who is an approved Trainer.
The visa is granted for a maximum period of 2 years.
